The rich nature existing on the Earth belongs to nobody. It is a valuable asset that should be passed from generation to generation. And now, the prime issue of the environmental problems has been raised on a global scale as the automobile society matures. Without a moment's delay, Nissan is tackling this problem by gathering all technologies and know-how accumulated up until now. The target of Nissan is "the Symbiosis of People and Automobiles with Nature." Spreading our field of view as far as the whole Earth and its future, we will work towards preservation of the environment.
総合的廃棄物処理・リサイクル活動の推進。
日産では、1990年8月「リサイクル推進委員会」を設立。お客様の満足向上と自然社会環境への調和をクルマづくりの基本とし、開発から廃車に至るまで、各段階においての廃棄物・リサイクル問題について総合的な取り組みを進めています。もちろんこれは、海外の拠点も含めた全日産規模で実施。まさに地球規模で、資源とエネルギーの有効利用についてアクションを起こしています。
Promoting Recycling Activities for the Comprehensive Treatment of Wastes
Nissan established its "Recycle Promoting Committee" in August 1990. To improve customer satisfaction and harmonize with natural and social environments as the basics of manufacturing automobiles, Nissan has been tackling the problem of recycling discarded automobiles on a comprehensive basis at each stage from the development to the scraping. Of course, these activities have been carried out throughout Nissan including its overseas bases. In fact, Nissan is taking action for the effective use of resources and energy on a global scale.



例えば自宅から友人の家へ。クルマは他の移動機関と違い、目的地から目的地までスムーズに移動することのできる便利な乗り物です。車いすをご利用の方にとってもクルマは、生活の行動範囲を格段に拡げてくれる重要な役割を担っているのです。そこで私たち日産ではセレナをベースとしたファミリー向けの福祉車両、セレナ・アンシャンテを開発しました。使い勝手の良いボディサイズ。電動車いすをご利用する方にとって、もっと使いやすく、不便だと思われる部分を改良。介護をなさるご家族への配慮も万全です。これからも日産は、クルマにできることを、ひとつひとつ実現してゆきます。
Improving the Environment for the Amenity of Everybody. Providing comfortable Lives with Automobiles.
Talking about traveling from your house to a friend's house, for example, automobiles differ from means as they permit us to travel freely to a destination. Automobiles also assume an important role for physically handicapped people using wheelchairs so that they can expand their range of activities. Accordingly, at Nissan, we have developed the Serena Enchant, a welfare vehicle based on the Serena specified for use by families. We have prepared a body size that is suitable for the easy operation of an electric-power wheelchair by improving many areas of the Serena, which can be thought of as improving convenience. Full considerations are also given to the family. Nissan will continue to achieve step by step whatever is possible with automobiles.
●電動車いすの搭載には、バックドア部に設けられた電動リフターを使用。搭載位置はサードシートの位置になりますが、車いすをご利用の方がシートへ乗り込むのを容易にするために、シートが、回転、スライド、自動昇降できる乗降補助機能付シートを設けています。
The electric-power lifter provided to the back door is used to load an electric-power wheelchair. The loading position is provided at the third seat. Auxiliary functions are provided so that the seat can rotate, slide, and automatically perform raising/lowering operations so that the wheelchair user can be seated smoothly.


地球の限りある資源とエネルギーを大切にしたい。地球と共存する存在でありたい。そこで私たち日産では、クルマの生産、使用、廃棄の各過程において、CO2を減らすための省エネルギー化や、環境への負担を軽減するためのリサイクル化に向けて研究開発、実行を着実に進めています。燃費向上の取り組みとしてエンジン効率を高める技術開発では、直噴タイプのガソリンエンジン(DI―G)および、ディーゼルエンジン(DI―D)の開発。また、駆動効率を高める技術開発としては、自動無段変速機(CVT)の導入などが挙げられます。さらには、空気抵抗の低減、車両の軽量化など、クルマ全体を総合的にとらえ、さまざまな視点から燃費向上の可能性を考え、開発に取り組んでいます。

Aiming at improving amenity performance.
We want to cherish and make the best use of the limited resources and energy of the Earth. We want to be symbiotic with the Earth. Therefore, at Nissan, we have been progressing with research and development activities on a steady basis at each phase of the production, use, and disposal of automobiles for achieving energy savings, reducing CO , and recycling, thus reducing the burden on the environment. We have developed the direct injection gasoline engine (DI-G) and the direct injection diesel engine (DI-D) as a technologies to improve engine efficiency, and we have introduced an automatic stepless speed change gear (Continuously Valuable Transmission) through the development of technology to improve driving efficiency. Furthermore, throughout new development activities we have come to understand automobiles from various viewpoints, thereby reducing air resistance and weight by thinking about the possibilities of improving fuel economy.
